Evaluating population immunity and infections of influenza, SARS-CoV-2 and other respiratory virus infections: A community-based longitudinal cohort study (EPI-HK study)
The research team at the HKU School of Public Health have been at the forefront of research into COVID-19 . One major question is “how many people have been infected so far”. The HKU team are part of a large consortium of international experts to answer this question in different parts of the world.
This is a large-scale community-based research study on COVID-19 and other respiratory virus infections such as influenza organized by the School of Public Health, the University of Hong Kong. For a period of 5 years (2020 – 2025), we will monitor the incidence of COVID-19 and other respiratory virus infections in the community, as well as to determine how long immunity will last after infection or vaccination, and the associated protection against infection and severe disease, in adults and children.

流感、新型冠狀病毒和其他呼吸道病毒感染及免疫評估︰社區縱向隊列研究（香港「適禦」研究計劃）
「直至現時為此，有多少人曾感染新冠肺炎?」是現時新冠肺炎研究上一大問題。香港大學公共衞生學院的研究團隊一直站在新冠肺炎抗疫最前線 ，與國際上其他專家一同致力在世界各地解答有關問題。
這是一項由香港大學公共衞生學院主辦，在香港本地進行的有關新冠肺炎及其他呼吸道感染病毒如流感的大型社區研究計劃，為期5年（2020 – 2025年），以全面監測社區中新冠肺炎及其他呼吸道病毒如流感的感染率，及成人或兒童在感染呼吸道病毒或接種疫苗後所產生免疫力的持久性和其抵抗感染或重症的保護性。
