COVID-19 vaccines: A prospective follow-up study

COVID-19 vaccination will be able to reduce transmission and severity of COVID-19 infection.

In this prospective study, the HKU Department of Medicine plans to recruit adult subjects 18 years or above. Recruited subjects will receive the COVID-19 vaccine of their own choice. All recruited subjects will be follow-up and assessed for a total of 1 year for vaccine immunogenicity and safety.

 2019冠狀病毒病疫苗：一項前瞻性跟進研究

接種2019冠狀病毒病疫苗將能夠減少2019冠狀病毒病感染的傳播和嚴重程度。

在這項前瞻性的跟進研究中，港大醫學院內科學系團隊計劃招募18歲或以上的成年人參與。參加者可根據自己的喜好接種那一種疫苗，我們會跟進他們一年，從而對疫苗的免疫原性和安全性進行評估。

Content | 研究內容

The aim of this study is to investigate the immunogenicity profile of COVID-19 vaccinated subjects.

Volunteers will be required to:

• Perform screening procedure by completing a simple health assessment 
• Sign a consent and take blood and saliva tests for antibodies before proceeding to vaccination
• Join a total of five blood and saliva tests:
  1. The day of 1^st dose of vaccine
  2. The day of the 2^nd dose of vaccine
  3. Four weeks after the 2^nd dose of vaccine
  4. Half a year after the 1^st dose of vaccine
  5. One year after the 1^st dose of vaccine

此項研究的目的是獲取不同疫苗在人體內的免疫反應數據。

我們將：

• 為參與者進行簡單的健康評估
• 如符合資格，參與者在簽下同意書後，將安排抽血及採集口水樣本測試抗體，再進行疫苖注射
• 第一次注射疫苗及第二次注射疫苗，參與者需要填寫注射疫苗日記，以監察疫苗的副作用。我們會跟進及監察參與者對疫苗的反應及免疫力數據。
• 我們會為參與者抽血及採集口水樣本，總共五次：
  1. 注射第一劑疫苗當天
  2. 注射第二劑疫苗當天
  3. 注射第二劑疫苗之後的四個星期
  4. 注射第一劑疫苗的半年後
  5. 注射第一劑疫苗的一年後

• Sinovac ‘CoronaVac’: Sai Ying Pun Jockey Club General Out-patient Clinic
• BioNTech ‘Comirnaty’: Community Vaccination Centre at Sun Yat Sen Memorial Park Sports Centre

Eligibility | 參與資格

A sincere invitation to healthy volunteers to participate in this clinical study.

Participants must meet the following criteria:

• No uncontrolled chronic illness
• No known drug allergy history

誠邀有興趣注射新冠疫苗人士參加。參與者須符合以下條件：

• 沒有不受控的長期病患
• 沒有對任何疫苗或外來物質產生嚴重過敏反應
